Karen Wasserman, LICSW

Karen Wasserman has worked with elders and their families for the past 20 years. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree from Simmons College School of Social Work. Previously she worked at the west suburban Area Agency on Aging, a local nursing and rehabilitation center, and at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center. Throughout her career, Karen has been dedicated to helping seniors and their families confronting major life transitions.

Karen is a member of both the National and New England Professional Geriatric Care Managers Association and NASW. She leads educational programs and information sessions in the community about elder services, housing, and geriatric care management. Karen started the Geriatric Care Management program at JF&CS in 1999 and has managed its growth into one of the Boston area's leading Care Management practices.
