Family Mental Health Services bring a multidisciplinary team of social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists to assess and treat a range of emotional problems. We conduct a comprehensive evaluation to define the problem and choose the most appropriate treatment intervention.

• Individual, couples and family counseling
• Psychiatric assessment and medication treatment for adults
• Counseling and support about parenting issues
• Consultations around complex family situations

Mental Health Services at JF&CS are unique in several ways:

• The first appointment can usually be scheduled within 48 hours of referral.
• Bilingual counseling is available in Russian and Hebrew.
• Mental Health staff routinely access the trained services of other JF&CS programs.
• Counseling at JF&CS is affordable. Most commercial insurance companies cover treatment. Our staff is knowledgeable about third-party reimbursement and is able to guide clients through the procedures required by their particular insurance company. Individuals without insurance may apply for a reduced fee based upon income and family size.

Referrals
Referrals for counseling come from hospitals, primary care physicians, community agencies and other JF&CS programs. Individuals and families may contact us directly. An intake coordinator is always available to conduct a brief evaluation over the telephone and to facilitate scheduling the first appointment.
